Edge banding quality we're proud of
20 March 2024
At CutList we strive to bring our customers the very best quality of product we can achieve, and that means continuously making improvements where we can. The introduction of our brand new Homag S300 edge bander last month was an upgrade we are immensely happy with. We are incredibly proud that we have been able to make this change while still providing edge banded panels at competitive prices. This new machine has also meant we can increase our offering to provide edging services for 8mm to 60mm thick panels.
What can I expect when I receive my edged panels?
Whatever edge you choose, all your panels will have the same consistently tight glue lines. The glue application method used by this machine helps ensure glue bond durability and also application accuracy. With a seamless finish that is smooth and tactile, we are sure you will be as happy with the results as us, and we are already receiving great feedback!
For both my orders the boards are cut and edged perfectly - makes my job so much easier and the finish is so so professional!

Edge banding MDF, whats the point?
Frequently asked questions
Q: Which panel thicknesses can I edge?
A: This new machine will edge boards between 8mm and 60mm thick
Q: What is the minimum width panel you can edge?
A: This depends on the full detail because there are some tricks we can use but we can edge one long edge at 40mm wide (we can trim the part to finished size after edging) but if you want two long edges taped, the minimum width is 75mm. The shortest length the machine can edge is 145mm. If you want a part edged all-round, the minimum is 145 x 145.
Q; Can I choose 1mm and 2mm edge banding on my boards?
A: Yes, you have the choice to have 1mm square edge where the arris has been removed, or 2mm with either square or with a radius. The 2mm is very popular on most furniture as it is more durable and tactile. Some board decors only support 1mm edging, Xylocleaf and some Egger decors, speak to our team for more information.
Q: What type of glue do you use?
A: We are currently offering EVA glue which is giving superb results, but this machine will also support PUR glue which may be an option for our customers in the near future.
